What is space law? Is it important to have one to help entrepreneurs, investors and users of space-based services in India? How effective is India's draft space activities bill put out by the Department of Space (DOS)? How do other countries handle regulating their space industry and what are the lessons for us? These are some interesting questions that Deepika provides an insight into the need for effective space policy in India.
Deepika Jeyakodi is a Contracts and Bid Manager (Commercial Contracts and Legal) at Airbus Defence and Space in the Netherlands. Previously, she practised law at the Madras High Court, India, for five years. She also holds an Advanced LL.M. in Air and Space Law from Leiden University.
